As small children, we wondered how our moms or dads knew we had done something wrong when we were sure that nobody was watching.

Later, we realized that our parents could tell if we were acting nervously or if something in the house had been rearranged or was missing.

Because they loved us and knew us very well, they could sense if we were hiding a bad choice.

Now take that idea of being known inwardly and multiply it many times over and you’ll begin to grasp the depth of Hebrews 4:13 —

“Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”

Wow.

This is a very sobering passage that dumps the bucket of ice water on our backs in order to rattle us into a more sanctified lifestyle.

No matter how long we’ve been in the faith, Satan has stopped tempting and we haven’t stopped sinning.

Yes, we probably sin less frequently now than in the past. But we haven’t yet reached the point of sinlessness and so we need to hear verses like this one.

Your lists of recurring sins is likely different than mine, yet the fact of our sin is our common characteristic.

God sees all.

Let’s make sure that all our sins are covered in the atoning blood of Jesus because of our undying commitment to love and repent before God.

That way, when we stand before God and He looks at the record of our lives, He’ll said “PAID” and we’ll enter into our eternal rest.

This really is Good News, huh?

As always, I love you
Martin
