It’s time for a quick check-up of your relationship with your congregation.

God clearly expects every believer to be active in a congregation.

Hebrews 10:25 unmistakably teaches this truth:

“And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”

What does life in a congregation involve?

Acts 2 answers this question in a very simple, yet potent fashion:

“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.”

So please grade yourself (A-F) in terms of what God wants for your commitment level involving the following:

___ the apostles’ teaching (hearing sermons and joining in Bible study)

___fellowship

___sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper)

___to prayer

If we’re honest, none of us have straight A’s because we all fall short of Christ’s perfect example for each of the above.

Let’s be humble as we work harder at becoming more like Jesus.

Christ gave up everything for the Bride He loves, the Church.

We can surely give more time and effort and food and resources to her, as well.

The better our report card, the better for the Kingdom and the people we are to serve.

As always, I love you
Martin
