There’s a good reason that I’m part of a congregation that partakes in the Lord’s Supper every week.

It’s what Christians in the 1st Century did and they were really strong in their faith. I do well when I imitate their practice of faith.

In addition, the Apostle Paul gave us a compelling reason to observe the Lord’s Supper every Sunday when we gather for worship.

“For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes again.” (I Corinthians 11:26)

Isn’t it a good thing to declare our worshipful appreciation of Christ’s sacrifice every time we gather for worship?

Would God love it if we worshipped Him and His Son every week through communion? I believe so.

Please consider having a weekly time for communion, perhaps with your family or with your home fellowship group if your congregation doesn’t observe weekly communion.

When it comes to communion, give me some of that old-time religion.

It was good for Paul and Silas.

It was good for the early Church.

And it’s good enough for me.

As always, I love you
Martin
