We invest money into food so that we can enjoy the flavor and build up the body.
God invests love into us so that He can enjoy the flavor of our praise and so that we build up His body, the Church.
God desires to save souls so that they will praise Him and serve Him forever.
It’s really that simple.
You’re familiar with Ephesians 2:10 that tells us we are created anew spiritually through Jesus so that we’ll do good works for the Kingdom of God.
The same principle appeared in my daily Bible reading this morning.
“Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever. Cry out, ‘Save us, God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name, and glory in Your praise. Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.’” (I Chronicles 16:34-36).
Please remember that the primary reason you are offered salvation through Christ is so that you will worship God by giving thanks to His holy name and by celebrating the joy of praising Him.
And remember to keep thanking Him and praising Him every day for the rest of your life.
Because every day, His power is saving us from unrestricted attacks of the Enemy and His grace is saving us from the condemnation earned by our recurring sins.
God IS good. Please make sure that the love that endures forever is met by your promise of living FOR and praising Him forever.
