Satan isn’t the boss

This is a guest Morning Devotion from Vince Taylor, a dear friend who lives with his delightful family in Horley, England, a community south of London. Vince and his wife Tania are thriving Christians who share with me in an online, interactive video Bible study each week. It’s great.

Tania’s testimony of God’s intervention regarding a painful medical condition will be shared tomorrow.

If you’d like to know more about how you could utilize this live, face-to-face study option with me, please send me a note.

I was recently reading from my One-Year Bible and this major revelation jumped out and raised my spirit to a whole new realm.

The passage was Isaiah 41:17 to 43:13 and the compelling core message was crystal clear — GOD IS SUPREME.

Yes, our Father is Supreme. I have heard many evangelical and traditional church ministers preach this and then undermine their whole sermon by giving Satan an equal and opposite position of power.

It is quite clear in these verses that GOD is SUPREME. He made everything.

He even says that only He knows the future.

He demands ALL praise and worship and respect for being the one true and ONLY God.

As Christians, we have been given ALL authority through God’s amazing gift of salvation and escape from what is to come through his only begotten Son Jesus Christ.

If the question over who controls eternity ever lingers in your mind, then ask yourself these questions about our enemy.

Who was there in the beginning?

Who has all power over creation?

Who was it that created Satan (Lucifer)?

Who was it that created all the angels, including those that were foolish enough to follow Satan into the pit?

Who is sending His bowls of judgment onto the world right now?

Who will win the final conflict?

IF your answer to each of the above questions is “GOD,” then you are already on the way to safety.

When you were saved through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, Satan and his demonic force became joined the list of tools God uses to shape us, form us, reduce us and humble us (2 Cor. 12:1-10).

It is only with God’s permission that any dark force can use what limited power God allows to come against us (1 Cor. 10:13).

Clearly, God’s authority over us all, including Satan, is SUPREME.

This revelation points to the fact that God desires to use Satan’s efforts against himself (e.g., the book of Job) for our own good and that of the Kingdom. Why? So that we can be true lights to a dark world.

The world is not a Godless place. It has just been conveniently lied too and convinced that all evil is good. The simple fact is that Satan’s desire is to kill everyone before they are given the choice of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Again, this is a God-given test — God has used Satan throughout the very short history of mankind to give us free will and free choice between loving and choosing and glorifying and submitting to Him OR taking the very fast highway to the Satan’s permanent home in hell.

Please let God have his way with you. It is for your own good. Go to Him in humility and with praise. If you do not have a proper relationship with Him, ask for it.

Jesus is the world’s only true hope for salvation from this cursed state that Satan, Adam and Eve put us into. When you receive this wonderful free gift, you will be accepted into the kingdom of God, your name will be
written in the Book of Life.

You will spend eternity first in paradise where the only true living God rules SUPREME and later, when Christ returns, you will become rulers with Him with places of praise higher than the angels.

And what was Satan (Lucifer) originally created as?

Never forget that Satan does not reign over you. Choose wisely.

Choose Christ.
