When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

What a great thing for a father to hear from his children! I loved it when, as little girls, Jessica and Melissa would run to my protective arms because they were afraid.

I still love it when they run to me, even though their “running” is no longer physical but sometimes emotional.

That phrase above is not something I authored, though. It’s from Psalm 56:3 and describes how King David would run to God’s arms for protection, encouragement and provision.

Dealing with any fears just now? There’s a safe place to which you can run — the arms of God.

Pray for wisdom when you don’t know how to handle a fearful situation.

Pray for strength when He reveals to you what you should do.

Pray for help from caring people when your challenge would be better met with extra heads, hearts and and hands.

And pray for humility to correctly respond when God sends victory over the situation or a message that He’s still preparing a response and providing wisdom, strength and help to you while your victory is still in the pipeline.

Just keep trusting amidst the fear. He wants the best for us and will provide it when the time is right.

When the blessing comes from His hand, it will always have His strong right arm behind it to make sure that it is enduring.

As always, I love you
Martin
