Hate it when that happens….

Hit the wrong button and irreversibly deleted the Morning Devotion I had been working on for today.

Phooey!

Yes, I know it was later than normal. So many things to get done today and I didn’t have the authority over the sequence of things that I wanted.

Oh well….

Here’s the wrap-up for what I was going to write: whenever we’re blessed a God-moment, we need to make a record of it in a journal or a letter to your family member or a photo or a designated day of remembrance or something that memorializes that encounter.

For the Old Testament Israelites, fresh from receiving the 10 Commandments from Moses, that memorialization mandate was given in Exodus 21:24.

“Build my altar wherever I cause my name to be remembered, and I will come to you and bless you.”

We’re not going to build earthen or uncut stone altars whenever God’s Spirit speaks to us, but we can certainly memorialize them with a note of praise or a word of testimony to another or an act of kindness that will speak again and again into the life of hurting soul.

Please consider worshiping God more and you’ll see Him coming to bless you more.

What an awesome promise.

As always, I love you
Martin
