Morning Devotion: Insinity

Satan wants us making decisions without regard to godly wisdom.

He knows that, from the undeniable pattern of human history, we humans are often like deer in the headlights when we trust our own judgment ahead trusting God’s Word.

The fact is that we’ve all been slammed by sinful failures because we thought — even for a brief time — that we were smarter than God, that His Word and His will didn’t apply to us.

You have your list of failures and I have mine.

Let’s reject “insinity.” Let’s stop making the same mistake over and over of trusting our own judgment over God’s and then expecting different results than the certain costs of sin to follow.

Here is what Solomon wrote 3,000 years ago that is still as relevant as ever:

“Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.” (Proverbs 3:7-8)

Let’s live better God’s way.

We’ll feel a whole lot better — in every way.

As always, I love you
Martin
