Though I’m heading to an early appointment, I wanted to share this inspirational/instructional treat:
“Many, LORD, are asking, “Who will bring us prosperity? Let the light of your face shine on us. Fill my heart with joy when their grain and new wine abound.” (Proverbs 4:6-7)
A sign of spiritual maturity is when you celebrate the gift of blessings to others.
Our human nature is to look out for #1 — as in wanting good things happening first to us.
But God is pleased when we think of others ahead of ourselves.
Please put a smile on God’s face today.
Celebrate when you see God blessing somebody else with abundance, whether it be an financial blessing in his or her life, a marital blessing or parenting blessing.
You might actually yearn for such a blessing in your own life, but a growing faith will rejoice whenever blessing flows instead into another person’s life.
God is working. God is loving. People are being blessed.
And these facts are worth praising.
Even when others are the direct beneficiaries.
Experience humble, authentic joy, my friend.
Praise God for what He’s doing in other people’s lives.
After all, isn’t praising Him to be more important than getting the blessings for ourselves?
